Nominations sought for Student Programs Advisory Committee

February 9, 2007

Nomination deadline is Monday

Laboratory personnel are needed to serve on the Student Programs Advisory Committee. The committee provides oversight of student programs, and recommends policy changes and initiatives for improvement in student programs.

Laboratory employees, including subcontract personnel and students, can serve on SPAC, according to a all-employee memo. Terms on the committee are for up to three years for at-large appointments and up to one year for undergraduate and graduate research assistants.

The Student Programs Advisory Committee meets weekly during the summer months and twice a month during the remainder of the year, and meetings are open to the work force.

The deadline to submit a nomination is Monday and nominations can be sent to Carol Hogsett of Staffing (HR-S), at Mail Stop B260 or carol@lanl.gov by electronic mail. Written approval from a nominee's immediate supervisor for the time commitment is required and should be sent to Hogsett.

For more information, see the all-employee memo (Adobe Acrobat Reader required).
