Public meetings next week on NM 30 safety improvementsFebruary 9, 2007
Laboratory employees and other members of the public can provide comments about possible safety improvements to NM 30 at two scheduled public meetings next week.
The New Mexico Department of Transportation is considering making safety and traffic improvements to NM 30, a nine-mile, two-lane road that intersects with NM 502 on its southern end and U.S. 84-285 in Espanola to the north, said Brenda Martinez of Gannett Fleming West Inc., consultants to the state agency for the project. A large number of Laboratory employees and other motorists travel on NM 30 daily. The meetings are at 6:30 p.m., February 13 in the multipurpose building of Pablo Roybal Elementary School in Pojoaque; and 6:30 p.m., February 15 in the Santa Clara Pueblo Gymnasium, 1 Kee St., at Santa Clara Pueblo. The public also can comment on bicycle, pedestrian, equestrian, natural, and cultural resources issues, said Martinez. For more information, contact Martinez at 820-7020 or write to bmartinez@gfnet.com by electronic mail. Other Headlines
