Monthly premiums to go up on some insurance plansNovember 30, 2006
Monthly premiums for legal, supplemental disability, and supplemental life insurance for active Los Alamos National Security employees are going up beginning January 1, 2007. However, the monthly premium for dependent life insurance is decreasing about 10 percent.
An all-employee memo, which describes the monthly premium increases for legal as well as for supplemental disability, short-term and long-term disability and supplemental life insurance was issued on Wednesday. (Adobe Acrobat Reader required). Employees can sign up for suppplemental life, supplemental disability and dependent life insurance any time of the year upon completion of a "Health Statement."
