A recent all-employee memo outlines options for University of California Lab employees to cash out or transfer accrued vacation to Los Alamos National Security, LLC on June 1, when LANS assumes management and operation of the Laboratory.
The memo includes an election form that employees must return by today to Payroll (CFO-1) in the Otowi Building at Technical Area 3 if they do not want their vacation to be automatically cashed out. Vacation cash out is subject to supplemental tax rates. Cashed out vacation will not be carried over to LANS on June 1.
The memo outlines options for employees with vacation accruals above the maximum allowable limits and for employees with vacation accruals below maximum limits.
