Anastasio releases message to Lab work forceJanuary 13, 2006
Michael Anastasio, president of Los Alamos National Security, LLC, this week, released an all-employee memo to the Laboratory work force.
In the memo, Anastasio updated the work force on actions the new Laboratory management team is taking during the transition to the new contract. Los Alamos National Security, LLC becomes the new management and operations contractor for Los Alamos on June 1. Anastasio also is the designated new director of the Laboratory when the new contract begins. "My team is anxious to meet with you to learn about your ideas and concerns and we will do this in close coordination with [Laboratory Director] Bob Kuckuck's team. We understand you have much work to accomplish and it is our intent to minimize the impact of the transition on you," said Anastasio. "Nevertheless, we are anxious to discuss our organization with you, have you meet our leadership team and discuss the important information you need and deserve to have in order to make a decision to join the LANS team. We are developing several activities that will enable us to accomplish this over the next several weeks. In an accompanying message, Kuckuck asked employees to check the Transition Web page for information about transition related issues. To read the all-employee memo, click here. Other Headlines
