DOE guide offers tips on energy efficient homes in southwest

January 13, 2006

The Department of Energy has a free guide with information on how to make homes energy efficient.

The guide will help American families save money and energy when building new homes. The guide is titled "Building America Best Practices Series: Volume 3."

The guide is part of DOE's Building America Best Practices series. It addresses the challenge of maximizing energy efficiency while preserving the comfort of homes in cold climates.
