Scholarship helps Martinez realize a dream

Coming from a small town, Severo Martinez never imagined moving away from Chimayó to pursue higher education. His dreams of attending college were fulfilled when he received a 2004 Endowed Leadership Scholarship through the Los Alamos Employees’ Scholarship Fund, which provided him with $2,500 per year for four years.

Wallace testifies in Senate on climate change impacts
Terry Wallace, principal associate director for Science, Technology, and Engineering (PADSTE), testified Tuesday morning before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee regarding the Laboratory’s efforts to develop tools for understanding and mitigating the consequences of global climate change and the growing demand for energy.
