New federal security badges to boost national security

Most Laboratory employees with L and Q clearances will soon sport new badges. The move is in response to Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 (HSPD-12), a legal requirement and part of a systematic approach to improve security across all federal systems and facilities.

The Laboratory today will successfully submit a Department of Energy security compliance order action by fully implementing information security policy.
