Community leaders tour key facilities
Updated at 1:40 p.m. -- As a lead-up to public-comment hearings scheduled for next week, a group of local civic and business leaders met with Laboratory Director Michael Anastasio and Glenn Mara, principal associate director for weapons programs (PADWP), on Wednesday and toured several key facilities to better understand how the Laboratory fits into the federal government's plan to create a smaller, more efficient nuclear weapons enterprise, called "complex transformation."
