NNSA announces plan to transform Nuclear Weapons Complex

Saying that the nation's aging Cold War-era nuclear weapons complex is too big and too costly, Thomas P. D'Agostino, administrator for the National Nuclear Security Administration, announced a proposal to create a nuclear weapons infrastructure that is smaller, safer, more secure and more cost effective.

Laboratory closed during the holidays
The Laboratory will be closed December 24 through January 1, 2008. Regular Laboratory operations resume on Wednesday, January 2, 2008.
Before you leave for the winter closure
The Laboratory’s annual winter closure begins at the end of the work day on Friday (December 21).
When it’s snowing outside
In the event of inclement weather, Laboratory workers should call the Laboratory’s UPDATE phone line at 667-6622 or toll free at 1-877-723-4101.
