Monday, April 23, 2007 Students showcase research at Supercomputing Challenge today at LabMore than 300 New Mexico middle- and high-school students and their teachers are at the Laboratory today and Tuesday for judging and the awards ceremony in the 17th annual New Mexico Supercomputing Challenge.
Former Supercomputing Challenge winner gives back
“I decided to volunteer at this year’s Supercomputing Challenge because I like to give back and I wanted to help students in the same way volunteers helped me when I was part of the program,” said Marquita Romero of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (IST-OCIO).
Scholarships awarded to local students
Los Alamos High School senior Lawrence Cai is the recipient of the four-year, $6,000-a-year platinum scholarship from the Los Alamos Employees’ Scholarship Fund.
