Native American education, health issues discussed at Lab talk

Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo Gov. Joe Garcia talked about Indian education and health care, trust reform and tribal governance issues at a talk Monday at the Laboratory as part of the Los Alamos' observance of American Indian Heritage Month.


Reminder on UC employee vacation cash-out options
A recent all-employee memo outlines options for University of California Lab employees to cash out or transfer accrued vacation to Los Alamos National Security, LLC on June 1, when LANS assumes management and operation of the Laboratory.

New entrance to parking area east of Diamond Drive to open mid-April
Laboratory employees will soon have a new entrance to the parking lot in the southeast corner of Diamond Drive and Jemez Road. The new entrance will be from Diamond Drive south of the existing intersection.
Proposals sought by Lab for research with UNM
The Laboratory and the University of New Mexico are accepting proposals for research in the areas of bioscience, materials, quantum information science and computer science, distributed sensor networks (including, but not limited to, chemical/biological detection), and nuclear futures (including nuclear applications) under the sponsorship of a Joint Science and Technology Laboratory.
