Vacation leave sharing/conversion programs established for Hurricane Katrina
Laboratory employees who want to donate vacation leave to others for assistance in Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts, or to convert accrued vacation time into a cash donation to qualified relief organizations for recovery efforts may do so now.
UC working with utility companies to improve math, science education
The University of California is teaming with a consortium of utility companies to improve math and science education for disadvantaged kindergarten through 12th grade students in California.
2005 Los Alamos Medal call for nominations deadline is Dec. 5
The Laboratory has extended the call for nominations for the 2005 Los Alamos Medal. The medal is the highest honor the Laboratory can bestow on an individual or small group of three or less individuals.
Forest service schedules prescribed burns
A number of prescribed burns to reduce the build-up of fire fuels and risk of catastrophic fires are scheduled over the next two months in the nearby Santa Fe National Forest.
