Report assesses hydrogeology of Pajarito Plateau

After nearly a decade of work, Charlie Nylander of the Pathway Protection Program (ENV-PPP) and a team of Laboratory scientists recently completed a hydrogeologic characterization of the Pajarito Plateau and published the findings in their Hydrogeologic Synthesis Report.


Lab scientist speaks today on gamma-ray bursts
A few times a day a special type of massive star transforms itself into a black hole, simultaneously collapsing and ejecting material in a jet that moves very close to the speed of light. During their fleeting existence, these jets flood much of the universe with an enormous burst of gamma rays.
