Town hall meeting Monday to discuss Laboratory operating contract

U.S. Rep. Tom Udall is hosting a town hall-style meeting next Monday afternoon in Los Alamos to discuss concerns about the operating contract for the Laboratory.


Abercrumbie to give Lab's Martin Luther King Jr. Day talk Jan. 18
Eric Abercrumbie, director of Ethnic Programs and the African-American Culture and Research Center at the University of Cincinnati, will speak Jan. 18 at the Laboratory as part of the annual Martin Luther King Jr. observance.
Nominations being accepted for postdoc distinguished performance awards
The Laboratory is accepting nominations for Postdoctoral Distinguished Performance awards for the 2004 fiscal year.
Some parking spaces to be temporarily lost near Metropolis Center
About two dozen parking spaces west of the Nicholas Metropolis Center for Modeling and Simulation at Technical Area 3 won't be available for employee parking beginning this week because of some planned utility work at the center.
Nanos updates work force in talk Jan. 19
Laboratory Director G. Peter Nanos will update the Laboratory work force on several matters during an all-employee talk Jan. 19 in the Administration Building Auditorium at Technical Area 3.
