Mandatory all-employee meeting is today

Laboratory Director G. Peter Nanos will speak to the Lab work force at 10 this morning in the Administration Building Auditorium at Technical Area 3. The mandatory all-hands meeting is titled, "Survival."

County water line installation project delayed
The installation of new water lines across Trinity Drive near the intersection of Diamond Drive is being delayed because the contractor doing the work for Los Alamos County uncovered some asbestos-laden pipe.

The Laboratory's annual Student Symposium scheduled for early August has been cancelled.
DOE chief Abraham issues statement on security review at Lab
Laboratory operations involving Classified Removable Electronic Media won't resume until the Department of Energy is convinced that  newly implemented corrective actions provide for complete and verifiable custodial control of such media, Department of Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham said this week.
