Resumption of operations update now online

Updated at 2 p.m. -- The Laboratory has placed online a document outlining the process for resuming normal operations. The Laboratory last Friday suspended all normal operating activities until all members of the work force can ensure that the Laboratory operates safely and meets its national security obligations.


Nanos suspends all work at Laboratory
Laboratory Director G. Peter Nanos has suspended all work activities at Los Alamos to "ensure this Laboratory operates safely and meets all our national security obligations." The move to suspend all activities at the Lab - effective last Friday - was made by Nanos with the concurrence of the Senior Executive Team.
