J. Robert Oppenheimer, a man for the ages

Today marks the 100th birthday of the Laboratory's first director, J. Robert Oppenheimer. Born in 1904 in New York City to successful textile importer Julius Oppenheimer and his wife Ella, J. Robert grew up in a world of wealth and privilege.
