Nanos named seventh director of Laboratory

G. Peter Nanos on Wednesday became the seventh permanent director of the Laboratory.


Voltage issue identified in Los Alamos flash X-ray machine
The Laboratory and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory have identified a component performance issue during early commissioning work for the second axis of the Dual Axis Radiographic Hydrodynamic Test Facility at Technical Area 15.
Laboratory, county, NNSA reach agreement on traffic control enforcement
The Laboratory, Los Alamos County and the Los Alamos Site Office, reached an agreement that allows county police officers to resume enforcement of state and local traffic laws on NNSA-owned roadways in and around the Lab.
Yarbro is named NMT division leader
Stephen L. Yarbro, a chemical engineer and 20-year Laboratory veteran, is the new leader of the Nuclear Materials Technology (NMT) Division.
Lab's Family Festival is Saturday
The Family Festival is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday at Sullivan Field at Los Alamos High School on Diamond Drive.
Nanos State of the Lab address set for July 22
Interim Laboratory Director G. Peter Nanos will give a State of the Laboratory talk to the work force at 10:30 a.m., July 22 in the Administration Building Auditorium at Technical Area 3. The talk is open to all Laboratory workers.
Laboratory sponsors public lecture on cosmology
As part of the Laboratory's Cosmology Summer Workshop at St. John's College in Santa Fe, cosmologist Rocky (Edward W.) Kolb will present a public lecture.
