May Connections newsletter available online

The May issue of the Connections electronic newsletter is now available. Connections is published monthly by the Community Programs Office (CPO) and distributed to local and state elected officials and community and business leaders across Northern New Mexico.

In this month's issue, read about Laboratory partnering efforts on education outreach designed to helps girls learn about science, math, and engineering, as well as information about the 2008 Los Alamos Employees' Scholarship Fund drive that is now under way.

Want to learn about the proton accelerator at LANSCE? Check out the new exhibit at the Bradbury Science Museum and read more in this month's issue.

Also of note in the May issue: Northern New Mexico organizations recognized by Quality New Mexico; and the "Next Big Idea" this summer in Los Alamos to showcase discoveries, inventions and innovations. The Inventor's Challenge hosted by the museum also is part of the event.
