Meet a new summer student: Shayna Naranjo

The recent high school grad will attend Stanford University this fall
Shayna is helping the Museum's educators, along with other tasks.

Shayna Naranjo will be at the Museum through mid-September before departing to attend Stanford University. A recent graduate of Santa Fe Indian School, she will spend part of the summer helping the Museum’s educators with science demonstrations and with some visitor survey work currently taking place. She joins the Lab as one of two Susan Herrera Scholars under the Los Alamos National Laboratory Foundation’s scholarship fund recipients.

While she has not yet decided on a major, she enjoyed math and world history in high school. She says it’s possible that she could end up in the field of education.
