Event Description

This event is open to those of all ages.

Humans grow food to survive. When it comes to plants, adverse conditions including early springs, late frosts, or too little water, can result in plant death or low yields. While this could be a problem for an individual farmer, it can also include large regions with devastating consequences. Join Tirtha Banerjee, with the Lab’s Computational Earth Science group, when he’ll talk about how science is helping monitor plant health and debunking long-held truths about how to best protect plants from environmental stressors right down to an individual tree.

This event is open to all ages.
