Event Description

An interactive event offering learning and competition as part of the Los Alamos ScienceFest.

Join us at the Drone Zone at Los Alamos ScienceFest where you can bring your own drone or try flying a mini-drone for the first time, while competing in obstacle course races for awesome prizes! There will be two obstacle courses, one for beginners and one for masters. Experts from Los Alamos National Laboratory's Unmanned Aerial Systems program will be there teaching folks about the physics of flight and how to fly and operate drones.

Los Alamos ScienceFest is a 3-day festival on July 16-18m 2015 that features interactive demonstrations, a drone agility course, hands-on activities and dynamic speakers to engage kids, families, and individuals interested in life-long learning in science, technology, engineering, art and math. The Festival partners present events July 16 – 18 culminating Saturday, July 18th at Ashley Pond. To learn more about the full schedule of events at Los Alamos ScienceFest, visit www.losalamossciencefestival.com.
