Key Resources

  • IEEE Xplore
    • Includes journal articles and conference papers published through the Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). A rich source for articles dealing with the generation of electricity through solar energy.
  • SciTech Connect
    • Provides free access to over 2.5 million science research citations with continued growth through regular updates.
    • Springer Materials
      • Electronic version of the classic materials resource Landolt-Bornstein. It contains critically assessed physical and chemical data in all areas of physical sciences and engineering. Advanced Materials and Technologies related to renewable energy are described in Section VIII/3c.
    • National Renewable Energy Laboratory (U.S. Department of Energy)
      • NREL is dedicated to the commercialization and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies, offers developments in science and technology, and technology transfer on their site.
    • DOE Green Energy
      • Access to publications on thousands of DOE-sponsored R&D projects about renewable energy topics such as geothermal, solar, wind, hydroelectric, and biomass energy. The database contains links to citations, full-text reports, and patents.
