Physical Oceanography and Climate Dynamics

My research interests involve the dynamics of the large scale ocean circulation, and the role of the ocean in the climate system. I am particularly interested in the following topics:

  • Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation
  • Agulhas Leakage
  • Topographically-trapped modes of ocean variability
  • Dynamics of the Southern Ocean
  • Ocean dynamics and sediment transport in the Argentine Basin.
  • Low-frequency climate variability, in particular Pacific Decadal Variability and Atlantic Multidecadal Variability
