Non-Radioactive Air Emissions

LANL operations emit criteria pollutants (CO, NOx, SOx, and Particulate Matter), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). These emissions are estimated using various operating parameters and emission factors and reported annually to NMED. Sources of these pollutants include the asphalt plant, TA-3 steam plant, several large boilers, etc.
