Employee Information

The Communications Office coordinates distribution of information to employees about any emergency, including protective action or evacuation instructions, through a variety of communications channels.

• The Laboratory public homepage will post information as it is received to http://www.lanl.gov/emergency/
• News releases will be posted to http://www.lanl.gov
• An Update telephone line (505-667-6622 or toll-free 877-723-4101) provides site status reports
• Employees can make specific inquiries about the emergency by contacting the Communications Office at 505-667-7000

Onsite at the Laboratory?

• The lab’s internal homepage will post information as it is received to http://int.lanl.gov/
• All-employee e-mails will be sent when the situation requires reaching as many employees as possible as quickly as possible.
• An Update telephone line (505- 667-6622 or toll-free 877-723-4101) provides site status reports
• Employees can make specific inquiries about the emergency by contacting the Communications Office at 505-667-7000
• The Site Wide Area Notification System (SWANS) and the laboratory’s trunked radio system are also sources of information
