While 2013 was a very successful year, I’m looking forward to 2014 even more.

One exciting addition is our new podcast series. We’ve launched this series as an additional way to connect with you and share some of the important partnerships in Northern New Mexico.

Podcast one is about regional economic development and the 20/20 Campaign. Podcast two covers our United Way partnerships and the Employee Giving Campaign. An upcoming topic will be the LANL STEM Challenge for regional students, a feature article in this issue. Send suggestions for 2014 podcast topics to steinhaus@lanl.gov.

Another feature article in Community Connections this month is the Lab's 50 Years in Space Celebration. This is a combined December/January issue of the newsletter, with the next one arriving in February.

From all of us in the LANL Community Programs Office, here’s wishing you and your family wonderful holidays and a happy New Year.

Sincerely,

Kurt Steinhaus
Executive Office Director
