Deadline for Native American VAF is November 16
The Regional Development Corporation, with support from the Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Security, LLC, and the New Mexico Indian Affairs Department, seeks to further develop tribally-held businesses in Northern New Mexico through a new Native American Venture Acceleration Fund (VAF). The awards, which can be up to $30,000 each, are intended to assist tribal businesses to diversify revenue, create new jobs, and institute or improve systems that will lead to growth.
Eligible applicants must be:
- A Native American-owned business enterprise in which a tribe or tribal member has at least a 51% share or stake
- A tribal member or corporation from the Pueblos of Cochiti, Jemez, Nambe, Ohkay Owingeh, Picuris, Pojoaque, San Ildefonso, Santa Clara, Taos, or Tesuque
- A company located in the counties of Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, or Taos
