Next Big Idea coming September 14-15
Downtown Los Alamos will be abuzz on September 14-15 with family-friendly events for this year’s “Next Big Idea.” This free two-day event lets innovators and the public get together to share technology, art, research and development, and invention.
Last year’s event attracted more than 40 exhibitors including the Lab, Bandelier National Monument, New Mexico Consortium, and National Instruments.
This year’s event will also include the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Student Day for youth from 13 to 17 years old on September 14. This event is meant to interest students in possible careers in STEM occupations. Students who participate will have a chance to win an iPad after they attend a science-related performance and explore cool science activities at the Bradbury Science Museum. There are only a 100 openings for this event, so early registration is encouraged.
