First Stars III will be held at the La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We have reserved a block of 80 hotel rooms at the La Fonda at the rate of $94 (single occupancy) or $114 (double occupancy). This rate is available for the nights of Sunday July 15th through Thursday July 19th. We have 10 rooms available at this rate for the evening of Friday July 20th, and a further 10 rooms available at the rate of $219 (single occupancy) or $239 (double occupancy). Due to the popularity of the Santa Fe Opera, we cannot guarantee more than 20 rooms on Friday night. If you wish to share a room to save cost, or cannot find a hotel room for Friday night, please contact Brian O'Shea. The conference will end by 1:00 pm on Friday afternoon to ensure that there will be time to get to the Albuquerque airport for a Friday afternoon flight.

Please note that the conference starts on Monday morning, and there will be a reception on Sunday evening at the La Fonda hotel. As the best way to get to Santa Fe is to fly into Albuquerque, which is a significant distance away, we recommend arriving on Sunday. It is advisable to register for the hotel as early as possible - we recommend at least six weeks in advance.

There are three ways to book a hotel room at the La Fonda:

• Fax the La Fonda room registration form. The fax number is 1-505-954-3599
• Use the La Fonda online registration. For 'group/convention', put 'First Stars III'
• Call the La Fonda reservation hotline at 1-800-523-5002, extension #1. Specify that you are with the 'First Stars III' conference.

Please note that the La Fonda has graciously offered free wireless internet access in the hotel rooms for all conference participants. In addition, there will be free wireless internet access in the conference room itself.
