Title: News on HE0107-5240

Presenter: Norbert Christlieb

Abstract: Based on high-quality VLT/UVES spectra covering the UV spectral range, we have determined abundances of a couple of elements in HE0107-5240 for which previously only upper limits were available; for example, Sc and Co. We have also detected for the first time a line of Fe II (at \\lambda = 3227\\AA), which allows a more robust estimate of the iron abundance of the star than was possible before, since significant 3D and NLTE corrections have to be applied to the abundance determined from Fe I lines. Our new result is [Fe/H]_3D = -5.7, making HE0107-5240 again the star with the lowest iron abundance currently known. I will also report on new results from a radial velocity monitoring campaign of HE0107-5240 now covering 5 years. There is growing evidence that the star is radial velocity variable, which has important consequences for the interpretation of the origin of its abundance pattern.
