Title: Population III Wolf-Rayet Stars in the CAK Regime

Author(s): Andrew Onifer

Abstract: Low metallicity presents a challenge to the line driving process that is believed to cause the large mass-loss rates seen in Wolf-Rayet (WR) winds. The small number of available lines, especially of Fe and other iron-group elements, lowers the overall line opacity and can open spectral gaps through which photons can leak. I will explore the feasibility and necessary conditions to drive a Population III, "zero metallicity" WR star that contains only the exposed products of the H- and He-burning phases. I will focus on WR stars with masses on the order of 10 solar masses.
