More miles to the gallon
Greater auto engine efficiency and increased fuel economy is possible with computer code that mimics engine processes. Tech Transfer: Problem Solved!
Simulation of an experimental engine. KIVA is a transient, three-dimensional, multiphase, multicomponent code. Although specifically designed for simulating internal combustion engines, the modularity of the code facilitates easy modifications for solving a variety of hydrodynamics problems involving chemical reactions.
