Jen’s research interests have focused on designing and characterizing the interface between biological systems and inorganic materials. Her current activities include the design of fluorescent gold and silver nanoclusters templated within biological molecules. Further, the team creates biosensors and their ligands utilizing unique phage and yeast display libraries. Finally, Jen and colleagues collaborate to develop in vivo polymers that are optically and biologically active, toward materials for optoelectronics and regenerative medicine.
