Event Description

The LANL Women’s Group is hosting a career panel discussion and networking event exploring transitions that women face throughout their careers.

Two panel speakers (one early-career and one mid-career) from five different fields at Los Alamos National Laboratory will share their stories of career transitions—including transitions through various career stages, across geographical locations, or within a job or career. The five career fields support the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) environment at LANL. They include biology and earth science; engineering; math and computer science; operations and environmental science; and physical science.

The panel discussion will run from 2:30 to 4 p.m., followed by networking and refreshments until 5 p.m. The networking portion also will have women (one early-career and one mid-career) available to talk about each of the five science/engineering fields as well as the field of national security science.

Both the panel discussion and networking are open to the public. Lisa Lande, of LANL’s Human Resources Division, will moderate the panel discussion. The LANL Women’s Group organized the event in celebration of Women’s History Month. The event is jointly supported by Los Alamos National Laboratory and UNM-LA.
