Event Description

Los Alamos County, the National Park Service and Los Alamos National Laboratory will host an open house to discuss the future of the Manhattan Project National Historic Park.

Following remarks from the Department of Energy, LANL and community leaders, officials from the National Park Service will provide a brief overview of plans for the Park and then will mingle with attendees for conversations about opinions and hopes for the future Park.

The National Park Service is visiting Los Alamos for the week to meet with elected officials and community, tribal and Laboratory stakeholders about the Park and to negotiate a Memorandum of Agreement with DOE for access to historic properties within the Laboratory footprint.
