Director of the National Analytical Management (NAMP) for the Department of Energy (DOE) which is designated to assure that the Office of Environmental Management obtains credible, cost effective data for environmental decision making and compliance, and effectively manages characterization activities.

Served as the Program Manager for all DOE Headquarters Environmental Management Programs implemented at the Radiological and Environmental Sciences Laboratory. Programs were DOE-wide in scope and were implemented at the level of Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Department of Energy

Served as the Senior Scientist at DOE's Radiological and Environmental Sciences Laboratory for seven years.

Designed, Implemented and Managed the Mixed Analyte Performance Evaluation Program for DOE. The only performance evaluation program to contain all radioactive, inorganic and organic analytes and compounds in one sample. Program served 78 participants including 8 foreign laboratories.

Served as the Program Manager for the Radiological Measurements Assurance Program of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Assigned as special auditor reporting to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Environment to conduct independent assessment of compliance issues associated with private laboratories.

The Headquarters Program Manager for the United States Department of Energy's Methods Compendium. The Manual contains a compilation of methods used throughout the DOE Complex. Performance-based in scope with guidance on selecting the proper method for use.

Research Chemist for DOE. Areas of interested included gamma-ray spectroscopy, computer programming, database design, technetium chemistry, iodine chemistry, transuranic chemistry.
