BAER 2000

46th Annual Conference on Bioassay, Analytical, and Environmental Radiochemistry

First Announcement

November 12-17, 2000, Seattle, Washington

Dear Friends:

The 46th Annual Conference on Bioassay, Analytical, and Environmental Radiochemistry (BAER 2000) will be held at the Renaissance Madison Hotel in Seattle, Washington, November 12-17, 2000. The conference provides an informal setting where members of the scientific community can gain insight, share experiences, and develop solutions to problems. The conference will offer vendor and technical workshops, presentations, posters, and invited speaker(s).

We invite your abstract submissions for presentations and posters, reporting on the results of specific activities or research projects. Please provide a one-page abstract following our format guidelines.

The abstracts and extended abstracts will not be peer reviewed or edited. Abstracts will be presented in hardcopy format. Also, a CD of the entire proceedings, abstracts, and extended abstracts will be distributed to attendees at the conference.

To minimize mailings of hard copy announcements and correspondence about BAER 2000, the conference organizing committee will provide information and updates about the conference on the Internet. We have created a Website at http://baer2000.pnl.gov that will include information on technical abstracts, workshops, registration, lodging and transportation, program outline, vendor workshop and exhibits, etc. We will continually update our Website as information becomes available.

If you do not have access to the Internet and wish to receive hard copy announcements, please notify the committee by July 15, 2000.

Sincerely,

Steven N. Bakhtiar, Ph.D.
Conference Chair
