Preparations for the 42nd Annual Conference on Bioassay, Analytical and Environmental Radiochemistry are being finalized. The conference has drawn many excellent technical abstracts from nationally and internationally renowned researchers and scientists. Eight technical workshops have been formulated and will cover a variety of subjects from Dose Reconstruction, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, Intercomparison Bioassay Programs, Environmental Radiochemistry, Radiochemical Aspects of Actinides, Recommendations for Analysis of Bulk Radioactive Contamination in Hazardous Waste, to Detectable Limits and Critical Level Concepts. An ICP-MS short course will be conducted by Dr. Phillip E. Miller from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory at this conference.
Mr. Mark Hart, a Senior Researcher at LLNL, will be the keynote speaker for the Bioassay Conference and Mr. Ed Bailey, Radiological Health Branch Chief of the California State Department of Health Services, will be the luncheon speaker.
